No option but a hasty retreat and Success to Judiciary for the first time in India! is my view.
Parliament on the leadership of Mr.Man Mohan singh wanted to shed mud on Judiciary and on its command saying that convicted or criminals in Politics must not be allowed to contest in Politics .
but the law makers while made a law to allow convicted to contest in election in future confirmed that congress is party with criminals. so Rahul gandhi said this ordinance as a Nonsense one. Rahul Gandhi saved Congress .
A good decision arrived at in a wrong way, and with a lot of avoidable embarrassment to the government and the Congress — that is how the Union Cabinet’s decision to rescind its move to protect convicted lawmakers from immediate disqualification can be described. The Cabinet on Wednesday took two decisions — the first was to withdraw an ordinance it had sent to the president for promulgation. The ordinance sought to protect lawmakers convicted of certain crimes from immediate disqualification.The second was to withdraw the Bill (under consideration of Parliament) that would have later replaced the ordinance.
Now success to Judiciary also to Note that Prime Minister also consulted brave and noted scholars in Law in this regard before withdrawing this ordinance.
How ever this is the first time a law made and before its enforcement it is withdrawn is First in the History of Parliament of India . Total Credit goes to Prime Minister of India.
