D M K ruled out its alliance with Congress by Rahul Gandhi and wish to contest separately at Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry in all 40 seats. Off course this is a wise decision.
If DMK allied with any other party than that will be a success to allied parties to generate development for those allied Parties.
Here Mr.Karunanidhi may think that by not allowing alliances D.M.K. will Fail . Only if make alliance with any regional or National parties it will fail in all 40 seats. why because in all these days all the regional political parties and National Parties had alliance with D.M.K. and A.I.A.D.M.K. to maintain their survival and growth. otherwise all the Political Parties including communist party with out D.M.K. and A.I.A.D.M.K. in Tamil Nadu would have winded their Political party could be the History.

In This Election D.M.K. can not go with B J P. why because B.J.P. will not agree to have alliance with D.M.K. On Policies Both Parties did not agree and can not work on Common Platform in serving people. Already right from the selection of two President of India and in UPA2 Nominating Dr.Man Mohan Singh as Prime Minister of India ,congress leader Killed Democracy and established Despotism.

so in Tamil Nadu to D.M.K. it is a good option to contest separately to have few Numbers in M.P. in Opposition Party table. Now D.M.K. to work for its survival.
